Vistoso Village Oro Valley, Arizona
Proposal Study: 2008 Mixed-Use Commercial Offce Space & Retail, + 85,000 Square Feet

Vistoso Village was an 87 acre Master Planed development. Located within the boundary of the Vistoso Village is  the Honeybee Village Hohokam archaeological site. Honeybee Village was initially settled near the start of the Hohokam cultural sequence, around A.D. 450. The remarkable status of Honeybee Village is it is the only large intact Hohokam village remaining in the Oro Valley area.

The Vistoso Village is focused around the formation of the “Honey Bee Village Preserve”. A Museum will be provided to store the ongoing archaeological studies of the site. Honey Bee Village is expected to become the prime historical site of Oro Valley attracting visitors from all areas. The Plaza will provide  residents exciting dining, personal services and retail opportunities just steps from their homes.  Residents will also enjoy the experience of living in a unique archaeological and cultural setting in which modern day life is intermingled with the historic past.
